Description
In May of 1994, Sir Laurens van der Post made his last appearance at The Jung Center in Houston, Texas. "Journey into the Spirit of Archaic Man" took place over three nights of storytelling. During those nights, van der Post told many stories of the African bushmen, particularly those stories featuring the Mantis as the main character.
The first disc, "Once Upon a Time," features stories of creation and how Mantis steals fire for the world.
The second disc, "The Journey," features stories of the lost and regained feminine dimensions of mankind, and the ultimate quest for wholeness.
The third disc, "The Destination," features stories of the call to individuation, with Mantis and the All-Devourer, the Young Man and the Lion, and the Search for the Great White Bird.
