Understanding Fairy Tales
Explore the inexhaustible wealth of psychological wisdom contained in fairy tales. Analytic psychology has drawn much from the study of myth and fairy tale, seeing in these stories expressions of the psyche's power to mobilize energy into symptoms. But myth and fairy tales also reflect the compensatory healing strategies of the psyche. By revisiting these so-called children's stories as adults, we find dramatic illustrations of contemporary adult neuroses - and the agenda for growth to which they bring us.
