Instructor: Jerry Ruhl
We do not find the meaning of life by ourselves alone - we find it with another. We fall in love to learn who we are and to experience our noblest selves. However, many relationships founder on the rocks of incompatibility, unrealistic expectations, power struggles, insecure attachment, and emotional emptiness. Through lecture and discussion, this class considers the changing nature of marriage; the necessity of conflict in relationship and how to utilize it for growth; love, lust and empathic resonance; essential requirements of functional relationships; accounting for detachment and destiny in our relationships; and the potentials of experiencing relationship as sacrament - an outward form of inner grace.
