Description

Instructor: James Hollis, PhD

How can we discover meaning and contemporary relevance in the ancient wisdom stories of the Old Testament?  This course studies Jungian analyst Edward Edinger's book The Bible and the Psyche, an interpretation of the major figures and motifs of the Old Testament, with their recurrent archetypal images and dilemmas.  The course explores how depth psychology and modern clinical practice can render these ancient texts approachable by the modern sensibility.

6 classes (the recording of Session 6 was incomplete, so there is only partial content for that session), instant access by MP3 download, recorded in the summer of 2007.
