Description

A Journey to the Sacred through the Integration of Jungian Psychology and the Expressive Arts

"This outstanding documentary profiles the life and work of Carolyn Grant Fay. Her approach to dance therapy is based on Carl Jung's active imagination and shows so clearly the natural healing power of the arts. Beautiful and vivid images of the process of individuation. A vision of psychotherapy as it is meant to be: joyful, insightful and deeply moving" Joan Chodorow, PhD, ADTR, Jungian analyst.

Carolyn Grant Fay, MA, ADTR, LPC, earned a BA in music from Vassar and an MA in counseling/dance therapy from Goddard. She co-founded The Jung Center of Houston and served as president for 30 years. She also founded its School of Expressive Arts, where she still maintains a private practice. In her work, Ms. Fay uses Jung's concepts experienced through authentic movement, music, painting, clay, writing, and sand play.
