Description
Instructor: James Hollis, PhD
What is the profound energy that hums beneath and shapes the visible plane of our lives? Jung observed that we are conscious only when psyche is embodied as image. Throughout history, we find recurrent energized images that fascinate us - such as the mother, the father, the child, the trickster, death and rebirth, and others. These "archetypal presences" activate our desire and provide us with identities, scripts, and agendas for that desire. Discussed in this class are these "presences" and their profound power to shape us and motivate our lives.
