The Four Immeasurable Qualities in Tibetan Buddhism are love, compassion, joy, and equanimity. In this retreat, Marcy Vaughn will offer heart-centered practices to explore, cultivate, and embody these qualities. Through guided meditation, active imagery, sound healing, and stream-of-consciousness writing, we can develop a better understanding of how these qualities come alive within us and manifest in our relationships and in our world.

Marcy Vaughn has been a practitioner of Tibetan Buddhism for over 50 years and is a student of Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche. She is a founding teacher and Board President of The 3 Doors, a non-profit dedicated to exploring the benefits of meditation for personal, relational, and societal transformation. She graduated in the first class of the master’s program in contemplative psychotherapy at Naropa University, where she also worked as Director of Admissions. Marcy is a counselor in private practice and offers both online and residential meditation groups and retreats. She teaches internationally throughout the United States, Mexico, and Europe. 

Marcy currently lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In partnership with her husband, Gabriel Rocco, they designed and teach the 9-month online Compassion Project, which explores meditation as a path to awakening compassion for self and others. It is now offered internationally in multiple languages. Working closely with Tenzin Wangyal, she has edited his books Awakening the Sacred Body, Tibetan Sound Healing, Awakening the Luminous Mind, and Spontaneous Creativity: Meditations for Manifesting Your Positive Qualities. She narrates the audio versions of his books available on Audible.
