Improving Posture From the Ground Up: A Feldenkrais Mini-Retreat (In-Person)

Summary
Description

Ever feel just a bit off kilter—or maybe a lot? Where can you find support for moving with ease and balance, physically and metaphorically? Through gentle movement lessons, participants can explore anew the magic of finding support from the ground up. From the feet, up through the legs, pelvis, torso and shoulders, we can improve how we sit, stand and move. These lessons are a fun way to renew our relationship with gravity—finding clear support from the earth beneath us.
This class is suitable for almost all fitness levels. Willingness to lie on the floor and an interest in moving more easily are all you need. Please dress comfortably for movement.

A fiber artist for more than 30 years, Gika Rector combines creativity, an education in psychology, and her role as a personal coach and Feldenkrais Practitioner to facilitate transformation in individuals and organizations. Once described as “the quietest storm that ever blew through town,” Gika is passionate about inviting people to come out and play—to be who they were meant to be and do what they were meant to do.
