Summary

Karuna Diedericks | Thursday, Jul 9 | 6 - 8 p CT | Discover grounded, accessible practices for living in harmony with your body, rhythms, and environment.

Description

Ayurveda offers tools to regain balance. When we are aligned within ourselves and with our environment, right action arises naturally.
In this class, we explore what it means to know and live from your true nature through the wisdom of Ayurveda. By understanding your elemental constitution—your unique prakriti—you’ll uncover a way of living that genuinely supports who you are. We examine how daily rituals and seasonal rhythms nourish both stability (sthira) and easeful growth (sukha), creating a foundation for balance and clarity.

Through simple, practical adjustments in food and routine, participants will learn to recognize how imbalance or excess gradually pulls them away from alignment—often showing up through problems with energy, digestion, or daily habits.

Karuna Diedericks is a certified Ayurveda practitioner from the California College of Ayurveda, and trained in culinary medicine through Harvard Medical School. Her training allows her to bridge the gap between nutrition science and practical cooking skills. Karuna specializes in empowering individuals to take control of their health through home-cooking, mindful eating and lifestyle choices. At the Jung Center, she has been teaching cooking and nutrition classes, hosting special dinner events, and catering since 2018.
