Description

Embracing Emerging Elderhood– Identity, Family Caregiving, and Strength in Transition

By midlife, many individuals begin to realize they are emerging into elderhood—a stage of wisdom, influence, and new responsibilities. This workshop is designed for those who are navigating this transition, often balancing personal growth with caregiving responsibilities for aging parents, partners, or younger generations.

Noelle L. Fields, PhD, LCSW, FGSA, FNAP is an Associate Professor and the Roy E. Dulak Professor for Community Practice Research in the School of Social Work at the University of Texas at Arlington. She is a gerontology researcher who focuses on the intersection between mobility, health, and aging friendly communities. Dr. Fields’ work also seeks to improve home and community-based services and supports for older adults and their families, particularly for persons with Alzheimer’s disease.
