Explore what the bardo state has to show us about moving through the messy middle, from the no longer to the not yet that exists in life transitions.

Description

noun: bardo

(in Tibetan Buddhism) a state of existence between death and rebirth, varying in length according to a person's conduct in life and manner of, or age at, death.

noun: purgatory

(In Catholicism) a transitional state between life on Earth and Heaven, where souls are neither fully in one place nor the other, undergoing a process of purification before reaching the ultimate heavenly reward; essentially existing in an "in-between" space that is neither fully earthly nor fully divine.

Explore what symbolic processes and ritualistic practices with liminal space have to show us about moving through the messy middle; from inhabiting the no longer and the not yet, to moving more fully into a life with more authenticity, purpose, clarity, and harmony.
