What inspiration can we draw from stories of loss to help us persevere and thrive despite life's challenges?
Description
Explore the lives of three composers who faced profound losses but continued to create extraordinary music. Mahler endured the death of his daughter. Beethoven grappled with the loss of his hearing – an essential sense for any musician. Rachmaninoff, amidst the political turmoil in Russia, lost access to his beloved homeland. What lessons can we learn from their experiences? How did they navigate their grief artistically and poetically? What inspiration can we draw from their stories to help us persevere and thrive despite life's challenges? Listen to the music that emerged from these challenges, and discover a power in art that can help us cope with irretrievable loss.
