Uncover the transformational experiences that can occur when we allow ourselves to be absorbed in and devoted to the way we experience the world.
Description
Many spiritual traditions emphasize the importance of bringing our awareness to the present moment, and provide us with tools and techniques that help to do just that. Join us as we inspect how this and other aspects of spirituality are integral not only to the mystical tradition of Sufism, but also to the experience of listening deeply to classical music, as well as the philosophical insights of the French Renaissance philosopher, Michel de Montaigne. Through this interdisciplinary lens, we will explore connections between classical music, Sufism, and the thought of Montaigne, and uncover the transformational experiences that can occur when we allow ourselves to be absorbed in and devoted to the way we experience the world.
