There is a common thread through most of the healthful dietary approaches that seem to work, and it is plain and simple: eat more vegetables, eat less sugar, and eat mostly whole foods. Join us for an introduction to the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda, which further suggests that we should eat with the seasons. Expert Ayurvedic chef Karuna Diedericks welcomes you to Urban Harvest Farmers Market for a guided tour of Houston's first (and largest) market specializing in produce grown throughout the gardens of the city of Houston. Learn Ayurveda's empiric science of living in harmony with nature, and meet local vendors and artisans. The tour ends back at Karuna's own booth – Karuna's Kitchen – for a cooking demonstration, followed by a delicious brunch!
This program is being offered IN-PERSON, and will NOT be recorded.
