Description

We all have seeds of wisdom within us. Join us for this interactive session as we explore and nurture our seeds of individual and collective wisdom. As we travel on our aging journey, we have the opportunity to consider our wisdom through new lenses. Bring your journal, a pen, and your open heart to this multi-faceted session, with time for learning, inner work, and community connection, co-faciltated by Rees Robinson (a certified Sage-ing Leader with Sage-ing International) and Andrea Youngdal (a certified Spiritual Director throught Chaplaincy Institute).

This program is being offered ONLINE only. Recordings will be made available on the Community for Conscious Aging website after the program ends.

All times are CT. Please contact onlinelearning@junghouston.org with any questions.

Rees Robinson left her engineering and project management career in 2015 to pursue her passion for facilitating processes that empower people as they age. Rees is a Certified Sage-ing Leader with Sage-ing International, a Speaking of Dying End-of-Life Planning Facilitator, and a Guided Autobiography Instructor.  She’s trained in interfaith spiritual direction through core and advanced programs in Atum O’Kane’s Spiritual Guidance Wisdom School and through the Sacred Art of Living’s Anamcara Project.

Andrea Youngdahl worked in human services for over forty years, including serving as the Director of the City of Oakland, CA’s Human Services Department. Among its many functions, the Department provided a range of services and supports for aging and elder Oakland residents. Andrea is an ordained and certified Spiritual Director through the Chaplaincy Institute, an Interfaith Seminary and Community in Berkeley, CA. She has also studied at the Center for Courage & Renewal.

Rees and Andrea met seven years ago at a Center for Courage & Renewal retreat.  They continued their journey together at the Center’s first cohort of “The Soul of Aging” facilitator training.  Both recognize and strive to tap into each person’s inherent wisdom. They are currently creating online opportunities to explore aging, spirituality and inner wisdom.
