Description

There's no shortage of stressors in difficult times. This course provides an introduction to mindfulness meditation and mindful awareness practices, with a view to taking the edge off. You will learn and experience grounding (focusing) your mind in your body – through breath, sound, and body sensations, while in stillness and while moving – and will learn specific practices for being with physical pain, emotional challenges, and difficult thinking. Join us as we explore the benefits of mindfulness practices: decreases in stress and anxiety, improvements in attention and the ability to regulate our emotions and behavior, and increases in our general well-being.

This program is being offered ONLINE only, and will NOT be recorded.

All times are CT. Please contact onlinelearning@junghouston.org with any questions.

Please register early. Programs with four or fewer participants are subject to cancellation, 48 hours prior to their start.
