Summary

Kelly Penrod & Michael Winters | Saturday, Nov 15 | 1 - 4pm CT | Potentially appropriate for 3 CEs* | Develop emotional resilience and dialogic skills to engage empathetically with conflicting beliefs, stay connected during upheaval, and hold space for ambiguity and disagreement.

Description

What happens when someone we love or must work with states a belief that runs counter to the foundation of our beliefs? This workshop offers a guided process for grappling with those moments, without shutting down, lashing out, or disconnecting.

By combining self-awareness practices, dialogic skill-building, and reflective inquiry, participants will learn to remain present with emotional discomfort, explore divergent perspectives with curiosity, and develop the capacity to integrate the possibility of contradictory truths without losing connection with themselves or others.

This workshop is designed for individuals seeking to stay connected during times of upheaval.

Kelly Penrod and Michael Winters have been teaching communication and connection skills for over 25 years. Kelly is an LCDC (drug counselor) and Michael is a psychologist in private practice. They are married.
