Summary

Susan Meindl | Tuesday, Jul 15 | 6 - 8 p CT | Potentially appropriate for 2 CEs* | Explore the hidden meanings in sexual fantasies and dreams, examining their role in addressing emotions, problems, and desires.

Description

Dreams and fantasies state and solve problems, express emotions and gratify wishes. They portray our current problems, past dilemmas, future possibilities and express in images and stories those feelings and experiences that are the most difficult to think or talk about. Sexual dreams and fantasies are no exception. Can sexual fantasies have hidden levels of meaning that link one domain of experience with another in a way that we can learn from? Sexual fantasies and dreams are too often un-examined because they are also suffused with shame and we have not understood their more complex meanings.

Dream-related material presented in the class will be provided by the instructor.
